Prof. Dr. Süleyman Tevfik Ecder graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and became an Internal Medicine Specialist in 1992 and a Nephrology Specialist in 1995.
In 1995, he conducted clinical studies on kidney transplantation and clinical nephrology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the USA. Between 1998 and 2000, he conducted experimental and clinical studies on polycystic kidney disease and acute renal failure, and clinical studies on hypertension and diabetic nephropathy at the University of Colorado Faculty of Medicine in the USA.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman Tevfik Ecder is the chairman of the Turkish Society of Nephrology Cystic Kidney Diseases Study Group and a member of a scientific research group in Europe called the “EuroCYST Consortium”.
