Prof. Dr. Dilek Gogas Yavuz is a faculty member in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. Dilek Gogas Yavuz graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1991. She completed her Internal Medicine (1996) and Endocrinology and Metabolism subspecialty training (2000) at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. She received her Associate Title in 2005. She currently serves as a faculty member at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department, and Director of M.U Hospital Obesity Center. Prof. Yavuz's primary research areas are diabetes, endothelial function, obesity, and metabolic bone diseases. She currently serves as a director and researcher in many international studies. She has 140 articles in national and international journals, 5 book editorships, and her H-index is 21. Prof. Yavuz was the editor-in-chief of the Marmara Medical Journal for 5 years, and is the Deputy Editor of the Turkish journal Endocrinology and Metabolism. She is a member of the Turkish Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the European Society for Endocrinology, and the Endocrine Society.
